Exciting things are happening in San Juan Capistrano!

GMU is honored to support the City of San Juan Capistrano in bringing a state-of-the-art skatepark to life. As a trusted geotechnical partner, GMU provides geotechnical observation, testing, and special inspection services to ensure this community space is built on a strong foundation.


A Community Hub in the Making

Located next to the city’s Sports Park, this 1.75-acre skatepark will feature:
Flow Bowl (5,300 sq. ft.) – Smooth, continuous rides
Pool Bowl (4,200 sq. ft.) – A classic, deep-bowl design
Street Skating (10,500 sq. ft.) – Rails, ledges, stairs, and banks

The park will also include a playground, restrooms, seating areas, and landscaping, making it an inviting space for skaters and families alike. GMU’s Role in the Project With over 50 years of expertise, GMU’s geotechnical engineering team is ensuring that the site is safe, durable, and meets all construction standards.

Our scope of work includes:

Soil Testing & Inspection – Evaluating subgrade stability and compaction
Special Inspections – Ensuring structural compliance

Our hands-on approach and commitment to quality and safety will help create a park that serves skaters of all skill levels for years to come.
